Sims is a Tennessee native, now living in Huntsville, Alabama. By day he works in quality assurance for an aerospace company. Previously, he was a small-town newspaper editor. He graduated high school in Benton, Illinois, later receiving a journalism degree from Murray State University in Kentucky. Previous publications include "The Deal," a short story that appeared in The Huffington Post and THE PROTESTER, a novel.
