James (Jim) Montana is the youngest son of eight children who grew up in a suburb of Chicago on the near west side. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served in law enforcement, stationed in The Netherlands and in southern Illinois. Jim has four adult children and four grandchildren. Currently, he is a police captain for a city in northern Ohio with forty years of experience. In his free time, along with reading fiction and leadership books, he enjoys golfing and working on his classic pickup truck.
