Docmode launches e-learning course to advance cardiology

MUMBAI, India - Nov. 25, 2019 - PRLog -- DocMode, a global medical learning platform, has launched a continued e-learning course to practising and resident cardiologists to aid them in diagnosing and treating Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS). In short, ACS describes a range of conditions associated with sudden, reduced blood flow to the heart.

"The target participants are MBBS and MD doctors and who have done their post-graduation in cardiology as well as cardiology residents. They would learn about clinical entities which constitute acute coronary syndromes; prognosis and diagnostic methods and comprehensive management including pharmacological therapy and the role of revascularization," said Hans Lewis, Founder and CEO, DocMode.

Understanding the many ways of clinical presentation enables treating physicians to ask for correct diagnostic tests for ACS. These in turn determine steps that need to be taken, the urgency with which one should approach a patient and eventually leading to long-term prognosis and treatment.

This course will discuss in detail ACS and will consist of presentations of modules by Cleveland Clinic cardiologists, who are experts in their fields. For easy understanding, each module will have a topic with subheadings. Case examples will be presented to emphasise clinical relevance of the discussion. There will be questions on the topic with answers provided later.

There are also other courses in the pipeline that would focus on pulmonary arterial hypertension and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. On completion of the course, learners will have to pass MCQ to obtain a certificate from Cleveland Clinic.
