Via the German web interface and the integrated setup wizard, every monitoring system can be set up within a few minutes. Extensive accessories are also available for the Didactum monitoring systems. Various sensors are offered for Ethernet-based environmental, safety and power monitoring. With support for sensor auto-identification, each sensor connected to the monitoring system is automatically identified and displayed in the web interface.
Individual settings can be made in the web interface for each connected sensor. This makes it easy to name the sensor individually and to enter individual limit and threshold values. The content of the alarm message can also be adapted to the individual requirements of the administrator.
Automatic actions in case of status changes or critical measured values can be sent as e-mail alarms, SMS alarms (via optional GSM or LTE modem) or SNMP traps. If required, a siren can also be switched on when critical conditions occur in the rack or server room. Optionally available sensor boxes support the connection of further important sensors to the monitoring systems 100 / 400 / 500 / 600 / 700. Cable lengths of more than 200 meters are supported, so that even large server rooms and data centers can be monitored around the clock with the help of sensors.
Each Didactum monitoring system works stand-alone and can be integrated into SNMP tools and network management software such as Nagios, Check_MK, Icinga, PRTG, OpenNMS or Zabbix with full SNMPv1, SNMPv2 and SNMPv3 support. The required SNMP MIB files are an integral part of the Didactum monitoring systems and can be downloaded directly from the German web interface.
