BOSTON - Sept. 2, 2019 - PRLog -- On September 20th, LEAD's CEO Kyrah Altman trained 30 staff at the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce (https://www.bostonchamber.com/) (GBCC) in 90-minute "Work Smarter, Not Harder: Self-Care & Stress Management at Work (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Z0cqcj8CczUaLOKtvhnCDNFmYRL9J0XNcSCQ6xUxO_c/edit?usp=sharing)."

According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, 1 in 5 adults in the United States experience a mental illness in a given year. These conditions impact performance, productivity, retention and cost the U.S. economy $210 billion annually.

LEAD's 90-minute "Work Smarter, Not Harder" course teaches participants strategies, "hacks," and habits to promote self-care and stress management as a "desk jockey" and connects participants to positive resources to cope with stress and self-regulate their emotions during the workday. The course also explores the financial and behavioral consequences of untreated mental illness and toxic stress in the workplace.

LEAD, Inc. is lovingly called, "the Toms Shoes of Mental Health Education." For every corporate course LEAD provides,  an equivalent course is provided for FREE to a low-income school, summer camp, sports team, or community organization of the company's choice!

Through proactive mental health education, LEAD builds company-wide resilience, encourages professionals to practice self-care, and establishes "psychology safety" to catalyze innovation and achievement in the workplace.

If you would like more information about LEAD, Inc.'s corporate courses, please contact Kyrah Altman, CEO of LEAD, Inc. at 508-717-1243 or email at Kyrah@LEADnow.org.

"To call L.E.A.D's 'Work Smarter, Not Harder' program a success would be an understatement. The crowd thrived under Kyrah's leadership. The combination of hard facts mixed with practical takeaways makes this a must for any organization with a desire for a more in tune and productive staff and a transformation in their thinking around 'wellness'."
