GovComm Announces New Feature Matrix for Positioner Series ITS Cameras

Further viewing distances are coupled with optical image stabilizers operating inside the lens that keep images stable to ensure a sharp capture.  Optical image stabilization is superior to electronic image stabilization, which is more of a software trick and most important when optically zooming-in on objects at a great distance.

Smart infrared illuminators provide up to a ½ mile of light (visible to the camera but not to the naked human eye) and are valuable in dark scenes.  The reason GovComm infra-red illuminators are "smart" is because the brightness adjusts based on the zoom level of the lens…close scenes are not drowned-out by high light levels.

As our roads become "smarter" the need for higher resolution ITS cameras increase. Although a standard 2-megapixel camera will be adequate in most circumstances, GovComm's 4K (8-megapixel) ITS positioner camera is a good choice when pixels-per-inch become a factor.
