LONG BEACH, Calif. - July 23, 2019 - PRLog -- Entertainment attorney Richard B. Jefferson added to the professional panel at the 20th annual "Uplifting Minds II" (ULMII) Entertainment Conference to be held Saturday November 9, 2019 at the Los Angeles Convention Center (1201 South Figueroa Street, 90015). The "ULMII" entertainment conference offers a professional panel discussion and a national talent showcase and competition.

Richard is managing partner at the M.E.T.A.L. IP Law Group in West Hollywood specializing in entertainment law; intellectual property counsel; media law;  film, television and digital production law counsel, and trademark trails and appeal board defense. Jefferson has been a panelist and/or sponsor of the free entertainment conference since 2004. Currently Richard offers winners of the "ULMII" national talent competition in both Baltimore and Los Angeles a music package of legal documents.

Jefferson started his career as an artist manager, He went on to obtain a law degree and upon passing the bar landed a job at Virgin Records America in the Legal and Business Affairs Department. There he worked with Janet Jackson, Kelis, the Neptunes and DJ Premiere. At Virgin Records he also worked on production deals for such clients as Rap-A-Lot and Blackground Records. He launched Fagerholm & Jefferson with attorney John Fagerholm where clients included Master P and the No Limit family. Now the M.E.T.A.L. Law Group, the group consist of managing partner Richard B. Jefferson, who handles entertainment and IP law,  managing partner John Fagerholm, who handles employee defense law and managing partner Dan Lee, who handles litigation law. The M.E.T.A.L.
