Technocopia Makerspace to Provide Eight Free Memberships

WORCESTER, Mass. - June 30, 2019 - PRLog -- Makerspaces rarely reflect the demographics of the neighborhoods in which they reside. To better represent and respond to need and innovation in the local community, Technocopia aims to include community members coming from different backgrounds.

As part of our on-going effort to be more inclusive of the community it is located in, Technocopia is providing eight free memberships to people who live or work in Worcester who couldn't otherwise afford the monthly membership fees. Technocopia is prioritizing memberships based on the following:
defined interest in engaging in the maker community at large, and with Technocopia specifically contributions to the diversity of the makerspace by means of race, age, sex, gender identification, or skill set contributions to other local community outreach or partnerships

These community memberships, are free of cost and can be held for one year or more, in accordance with some guidelines. Details and guidelines can be found on the community membership application form, provided at this link:

Applications are being accepted now. The first memberships granted will roll out on July 25th, 2019, with membership beginning Aug 1st 2019.
