FelinFach Signs up with Earth Day Network, the Canopy Project

BONCATH, Wales - June 21, 2019 - PRLog -- FelinFach Natural Textiles moves to 100% environmentally friendly packaging on its online postal materials and joins Earth Day by supporting the Canopy Project - to plant 7.8 billion trees by 2020, one for every person in the world.

FelinFach's packaging from sticking tape to the the mailing bags are now sourced or made from 100% recycled materials and are biodegradable and/or compostable for the recipients of each parcel.

As part of FelinFach's commitment to the environment, we have signed up with the Earth Day Network. Earth Day Network works year-round on projects, programs, and campaigns that support environmental conservation, environmental protection, climate activism and advocacy, and advancing the green economy. The conservation and greening efforts include planting trees to reforest environmentally critical areas of the globe and increase the urban tree canopy, and protecting clean air and water.

Since 2010, Earth Day Network has planted tens of millions of trees with the Canopy Project, working worldwide to strengthen communities through tree-planting. Using agroforestry and tree care training, it empowers organizations and citizens to conserve, repair, and restore tree cover to their lands.

Earth Day Network targets areas of the world most in need of reforestation, including some of the world's poorest communities; and land degraded by logging, fires, drought, floods, hurricanes, and earthquakes. The projects also focus on restoring forests in environmentally critical areas such the Amazon rain forest and the Boreal Forest.

The benefits of trees are extraordinary. Trees provide food, energy and income to help communities achieve long-term economic and environmental sustainability. Trees also filter the air and help reverse the impacts of climate change. In just one year, a mature leafy tree produces as much oxygen as 10 people inhale!

The goal for the 50th anniversary of Earth Day in 2020 is to plant 7.8 billion trees, one for every person on earth.
