"I wanted to be a part of helping those with dementia feel connected to the people they love and the world around them," says Dalton. "Caring for a loved one with memory loss can be a long, arduous path. So, serving those in need is extremely rewarding. Harbor Point has an excellent reputation, and I look forward to helping Cape Cod residents, their family members and others in our community stay connected to the people, places and things that matter most in their lives."
During Dalton's over 30-year career, she worked in advertising sales for Cape Cod and the South Shore's leading media organizations, including the Cape Cod Times, Cape Cod Life, Cape Cod Magazine, Cape & Plymouth Business and South Shore Living. In 2016, she joined HopeHealth as development officer for Hope Hospice and Hope Dementia & Alzheimer's Services. As manager of the HopeHealth Walk for Alzheimer's, she helped raise over $500,000 for essential educational and support services for local families.
"Julie completely understands the toll that dementia can take on families, and that not only is the right care important but so is making the most of every single day and providing experiences that make for fulfilling days. Helping individuals thrive is also critical," says Sandy West, executive director of Harbor Point. "We have a strong team here, and Julie's experience and passion will only make it stronger."
Dalton earned a bachelor's degree in economics from SUNY College at Oneonta. Married with two children, she is an avid fisherman and enjoys sailing.
