BRENTWOD, U.K. - April 25, 2019 - PRLog -- In October 2018, AEC purchased Fernwood House and the site and freehold. The former transport office building was in need of refurbishment and building work on the new premises have now commenced.  The building gives AEC the opportunity to purpose-build the new long term home for their London team as the business embarks on the next stage of growth.

The new office is set to accelerate the continuing success of the London team and the significantly larger facilities will ensure that the business can accommodate the growing demand of customers. The new building offers the business a potential four-fold growth capacity over the next five years which will support the company's South East expansion plan.

AEC's business in the South East of the UK has grown on average year on year by 25% through the development of strong client relationships and an excellent reputation in the marketplace.  The addition of new NHS and rail contracts to the business over the past 3 months, further strengthens our southern order book, reputation and demonstrates AEC's ability to support fast moving and responsive projects.
Mandy Reid, AEC's Director, said: "It's an exciting time for AEC and we are delighted to start work on the new building. The larger facilities provide the space for our growing workforce and strengthen our service capabilities for our customers.  We look forward to meeting the growing demands for asbestos, water hygiene, safety and training needs."

The new building is projected to open in October 2019 and will consist of:
• Large open plan offices with internal administrative and management offices & facilities
• UKAS accredited asbestos testing laboratory facilities
• Two practical training rooms, including six laboratory training cabinets
• Delegate break out area with kitchen facilities
• Additional 55 parking spaces for staff and visitors
• Close proximity to major travel routes and adjacent to the A12 in Mountnessing.  Located near to local rail links at Shenfield and Ingatestone railway stations

Steve Clark, Director at MASC Construction said "We're thrilled to be part of AEC's business expansion, and as an Essex based construction company, we're proud to support the development of local businesses in the area".
AEC will be holding an open day event for new and existing customers, suppliers. neighbours and staff later this year.
