Follow on Google News | ![]() Airborne Environmental Consultants Ltd grows its south east office with funding from SantanderEstablished in 1997 by Robert Harris and Amanda Reid to provide asbestos consultancy, AEC today has over 135 full-time staff working to provide services across asbestos, Legionella and water hygiene, health and safety, and fire safety. It is one of the leading training providers within the industry, with a 24% higher pass rate for British Occupational Hygiene Society courses than the national average. In July this year, the business won the Innovation category at the UKATA Excellence Awards 2018 for their new training facility – Hazard House. Santander has not only provided AEC with funding to support the new office, as well as the purchase of new vehicles and the employment of new staff but the business was also introduced to the bank's dedicated Breakthrough programme to support SME customers. Among other things, the programme offers AppInsitute masterclasses, and the management team plan to take on Breakthrough part-funded interns.
