Increasing volunteer support and opportunities at NGO Lakshyam in Delhi

The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others" – Mahatma Gandhi
DELHI, India - April 20, 2019 - PRLog -- Volunteer work is not just an item on a resume or college application – it's an essential part of a functioning society. In this way, connecting with a volunteering organization and contributing towards the betterment of society turns out to be an enlightening experience. While volunteering opportunities and non-governmental organizations multiply across the Indian subcontinent, NGO Lakshyam aims to give a deep and complete experiences to those willing to give assistance to the underprivileged children and women they are taking care of. The NGO is telling us about its growth of volunteering hands and placements over the last years, resulting in an intensive positive impact for both the volunteers and the communities.

Since its foundation in 2012, Lakshyam welcomes trainees and volunteers on a regular basis and intends to keep the increasing pace we are witnessing year after year. We believe that every helping hand can bring a smile on the faces of these disadvantaged street children by helping to create an environment conducive to their holistic development in order to enable them to become a part of mainstream society.

Through our growing number of centres based in the middle of the rural and economically weak areas, the organization offers a wide range of tasks from which the volunteers and trainees can chose to work on during their involvement with us. The real-life experience and interaction with the people play a major role for them and the community as it is the key for a mutually beneficial experience. From basic teaching, physical activities, artistic workshops to a back-office support through communication tasks, marketing documentation as well as interaction with vendors and partners of the organisation, our young trainees may choose the area in which they feel the most comfortable to work in.

Be it for a short-term or long-term collaboration with us, or just a couple of useful hours, we offer adapted tasks to those willing to donate their time to the humanitarian cause we are supporting. Parallelly to the expansion of our programs and activities, we have seen an amazing increase in the internship requests every year. Especially with the summer vacations starting, volunteers aim to benefit from a human experience and are being offered the possibility to teach our children something more than what is in the books, as well as getting involved in our initiatives, events and new projects.

The benefits of our volunteer work reach far and wide with a ripple effect that begins with the individual and the NGO and extends beyond the larger community, benefiting everyone in its wake. Lakshyam believes there is no dearth of good intentions and helping hands. We are always eager and excited to welcome passionate and dedicated volunteers to our budding team. We want to involve volunteers meaningfully in what we do and utilize their skills, ideas, approaches and enthusiasm for social good. In this sense, we are looking for dedicated interns and volunteers who wear a positive attitude on their sleeves and fully motivated to be part of the journey.
So, we would be glad to welcome you on board and for that call us at +91 954 079 0002 or write us at to be part of the Lakshyam family.
