By: Lakshyam Almost 400 volunteers working to make school a better place for numerous children. Lakshyam NGO in collaboration with Xavient Digital- Powered by TELUS International, under 'TELUS Days of Giving' has made school a memorable place for many children. Lakshyam, founded in 2012, has taken crucial initiatives to transform the lives of the underprivileged and focuses its various actions on child education, holistic child development and women empowerment. Spread across 17 centres in India and impacting 17 states, Lakshyam has touched over 30,000 lives and directly benefitted them. On the other, Xavient Digital-Powered by TELUS International is a US-based international company. Founded in 2002, is a global IT consultancy and digital services company. Globally operating with a team network of more than 35,000 team members across 27 locations. Under its 'TELUS Day of Giving' in collaboration with Lakshyam NGO has touched thousands of lives and many more to come. Studying, learning, gaining knowledge is a gradual process a student undertakes over the years. Kailashwati inter college is another present example of almost to no facilities at all ranging from demeaning classrooms, doorless toilets, waterlogged rooms, broken benches. The kids were studying under conditions people like us couldn't have thought about. The school was in condition were one couldn't have imagined to sit let alone study. However, these unfortunate kids were a part of the process but with almost no facilities to sustain in. Xavient Digital has really come forward along with its troop of volunteers to transform and touch the lives of innocent kids. The venture includes altering the entire structure from refurbishing the furniture, freshly painted walls, finely facilitated washrooms, and refurbished roofs, to painted cartoon characters for lively attractive vibe for the kids. Shifting our focus on the event which took place on 5th of October'19 at Kailashwati Inter College. The event aimed at painting drawing on the walls of the school. It was fun-filled event for the volunteers as well as the kids. The event was followed by a smooth transition beginning with an authentic Indian welcome by lakshyam kids of the guests in the morning.
