Francine Gagne, LICSW Appointed Director of Resident Services for The Arbors of Bedford

Gagne has 20 years of experience as a social worker and mental health professional working for Elliot Hospital's Geriatric Psychiatric Unit and the Greater Nashua Mental Health Center.

Gagne has referred residents to The Arbors for years and serves on Women in Support of Elders (WISE), a volunteer community group founded by The Arbors' director of community relations, Paula Whittier. "Over the years, I've continually been impressed by the attention to detail that The Arbors and its staff devotes to resident care and their relationships with families," says Gagne. "I am very excited to be in a position enabling  me to work more closely with residents and families and help keep them connected to what matters most in their lives."

Gagne graduated from Rivier College with a Bachelor of Science in sociology and from the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work with a master's degree. In addition to being a licensed clinical social worker, she is a certified life coach. She previously served as a field liaison for the University of New Hampshire.

In her free time Gagne enjoys hiking and has hiked all 48 of the 4,000-feet-high mountains in New Hampshire and Vermont. She is married to a social worker, Andrew Frederick, and has three rescue dogs. They live in Wilton, N.H.
