Yaffa Beauty by Rica Shaving Heads for St Baldrick's to Fight Children's Cancer

NORWALK, Conn. - Feb. 21, 2019 - PRLog -- Yaffa Beauty by Rica is raising money and shaving heads for childhood cancer research! Kids' cancers are different from adult cancers. Childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer. Yaffa Beauty by Rica decided to do something about it by helping to shave the heads of fundraisers and raising money for cures at the O'Neill's Irish Pub St Baldrick's Event on Saturday, March 9 from 3-7 pm. O'Neill's Irish Pub is located at 93 North Main Street, Norwalk, CT. Every dollar raised makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

Owner Rica Mendes and her associate, Jessica Xhuti, will be putting their clippers to work shaving the heads of fundraisers who have raised over $10,000 to date of their $50,000 goal. "As a former LIVESTRONG Leader and cancer survivor, giving back to the cancer community is now in my DNA," Mendes says. "My son shaved his head for St Baldrick's several years ago, and I've been so touched by the thousands of people that turn out year after year in solidarity of cancer fighters, especially the kids."
