By: Shreyans Zaveri Pacific Book Review wrote: "An unusual thriller based upon some well-conceived fiction, Shreyans Zaveri's debut novel 'The Fuehrer's Blood,' approaches its subject - - the death of Adolf Hitler, with multiple viewpoints." Mr. Zaveri, describing his new book said: "The Fuehrer's Blood is a fictional novel set against the backdrop of WWII. The book explores the German perspective of WWII. The story, from the viewpoint of a defunct Nazi soldier takes us on a journey into Hitler's childhood. It explores the events and happenings of 'what made Hitler', a young insignificant farm boy, turn into the most feared dictator in history. It throws light on the lesser known side of Hitler and the even lesser known life of his treacherous second in command officer Heinrich Himmler. It challenges the traditional standpoints of WWII history and uproots those facts to show you the war from a never before seen lens." On the book's back cover, the author writes: "Han, or 'The Shadow' as they call him is Hitler's most trusted henchman and sniper who was last seen deep within illicit Russian territory…At such an hour into the war, dire straits push these men to traverse across Berlin and reach Han for he holds many secrets of the Reich…For in reality, Hitler has disappeared without a trace and a startling new possibility comes to fore suggesting that the Nazi dictator still lives." When asked why he wrote The Fuehrer's Blood Mr. Zaveri explained: "I was drawn towards history right from childhood. When I read the first few chapters pertaining to WWII in my history textbooks, I was instantly hooked on it. However, there was always a disconnect between what the textbooks taught and what actually occurred. Growing up in India, it was difficult to buy what my history text books taught me. While the history lectures painted a sympathetic picture for the British forces, it was the very same forces that was murdering innocent civilian Indians by the thousands every day. Also, I used to hear firsthand accounts of the war from my German friends and the pieces never fit together. That is when I began researching, looking up conspiracy theories and watching documentaries on WWII. I had decided at the age of fifteen that I would eventually write a book on this topic."
