By: IMG/StrongArm There are few examples of such dedication in Vice City. Competition and selfishness are keywords in the South Florida scene, where fake love and favoritism is shown on one end, while the knife is plunged deep in the back of potential allies. Freezy saw all this and triumphed in the land of adversity. The story of Lee "Freezy" Prince and his brothers, Chuck and E-Class, is an inspiration to any young hip hop artist in the scene. From Poe Boy Music Group to owning and managing one of the greatest studio compounds on the eastern seaboard that is IMG/StrongArm in Hialeah, FL, Freezy has shown what perseverance with a solid team can do. The City of Miami has finally come around to notice the accolades this great man has amassed over the years. Over 6000 kids have benefited state-wide from the Florida Youth Football League (FYFL), learning team social skills, as well as professional football skills that most of these youths will use throughout grade school and college. Although they are the main focus, the young athletes are just a small percentage of the over 20,000 people involved with all the football events. From food and drink vendors, to football moms, referees and coaches, police departments, local community coordinators and promoters, and football fans - all these countless amounts of residents came together, under Freezy's structure, to create regular jobs, and social gathering, backed with a die-hard support for each one's respective team. Great success has come through diligence and a sense of communal management. While some confuse responsibility and efficiency for authoritarianism, anyone who knows Freezy knows of his big heart and his bigger desire to see others grow. The City of Miami honored Prince on December 15th, 2018 along with the best-selling artist himself, Flo Rida. The two were given honorary plaques displayed on the Arc of the City Hall of Fame. The platinum pop star was recognized for his dedication to in hip hop, and pop music culture, as well as being an inspiration to the next generation of musicians.
