ORMOND BEACH, Fla. - Oct. 4, 2018 - PRLog -- The Flagler Tiger Bay Club board of directors are pleased to announce they will host a Meet the Candidates dinner. Both Congressional District 6 Candidates have been invited. Nancy Soderberg has confirmed her attendance. The event will be held at the Hammock Beach Resort located at 200 Ocean Crest Drive, Palm Coast from 5:30pm until 8:00pm on October 15th.

The Candidate Hob Nob will be held from 5:30-6:30pm. Ten (10) local and state candidates will be available to meet personally and answer your questions. Flagler County Supervisor of Elections Katie Lynhart provide an update and statistics from the primary election, and upcoming deadlines and dates for the General Election.

This event is open to the public at an admissions fee of $40 which includes all activities and dinner. Those interested in attending are asked to register on the club's website at www.FlaglerTigerBayClub.com by clicking on the events tab.

With over thirty years of experience in foreign policy, Ambassador Nancy Soderberg has served on four presidential campaigns, in the United States Senate, in the White House, and at the United Nations. She has served in the White House as Deputy National Security Advisor and as an Ambassador to the United Nations, where she played a key role in bringing both sides together to secure peace in Northern Ireland when it was being torn apart by political extremism. She was also one of the first to say we had to get Bin Laden. She's represented the United States on a wide range of national security issues, including conflict resolution, trade policy, and arms control. She has worked to promote democracy around the world and has a deep understanding of policy-making and negotiations at the highest levels of government. Nancy was appointed as Chair of the Public Interest Declassification Group by President Obama in 2011. In 2004, Nancy moved to Florida and is a resident of Crescent Beach. She has been a professor at the University of North Florida for the last 15 years.

Flagler Tiger Bay Club is a nonpartisan club that caters to a diverse group of members. Members have an interest in politics, things that effect politics, civic, and other current event issues. Members have common bonds in civility, respectful and frank dialog and discussion, and commitment to making their community and lives better through differing points of view, knowledge, and information sharing. As a nonpartisan organization, Flagler Tiger Bay Club does not endorse candidates or take sides on issues.

The club ensures the stability of its nonpartisanship organization through a Board of Directors made up equally of democrats, republicans, and non-party affiliates. No one party has control of executive leadership or the board. The Flagler Tiger Bay Board of Directors include; John Birney, John Brady, Cindy Dalecki, Greg Davis, Frank DeAngelo, Rebecca DeLorenzo, Ed Fuller, Awilda Hamilton, Howard Holley, Mark Langello, Don Madden, Jake Scully, Lea Stokes, Helga van Eckert and Gary Walsh.

Flagler Tiger Bay meets monthly, with most meetings closed to members and their guests. Typically, meetings are one hour over lunch with a speaker or panel to present or discuss topics and issues that are political, civic, or things that may or will impact on politics. The meetings are typically held at Hammock Beach Resort.

Normally Attendees must be members or be invited as a guest by a member; but the Board has made an exception for this pre-election event. Annual Individual membership dues for the club are $350.00, with a $100 registration fee. Membership does include lunch and speaker fees.
