Second Wind Dreams Grants Elders' Dreams, Hosts Virtual Dementia Tour For Sixth Company Day

ATLANTA - Sept. 26, 2018 - PRLog -- Second Wind Dreams® hosted the Virtual Dementia Tour® and granted dreams of elders around the world, including Canada and Australia on Thursday, Sep. 13 for the sixth annual International Second Wind Dreams Day. The internationally-known nonprofit collaborated with members, volunteers and sponsors, including WSB-TV Community, Georgia Public Library Service, Caesars Entertainment, Optima Healthcare Solutions and L'Oréal USA.

Second Wind Dreams works year-round to change the perception of aging by fulfilling the dreams of elders and offering the Virtual Dementia Tour®, a patented, clinically-based experience which allows the senses to be immersed into a simulation that mimics living with dementia. International Second Wind Dreams Day was created to celebrate the elders, members, volunteers and corporate sponsors who help change the perception of aging.

Some of the dreams fulfilled included a cat lover's dream come true in Atlanta, a dream ride on the High Roller Ferris Wheel in Las Vegas, Nevada, Elvis impersonation performances in Kentucky. The Virtual Dementia Tour was hosted in multiple locations, with its highest volume of facilitators from the Georgia Public Library Service.

Over 200 people experienced the free Tour and more than 350 residents from eldercare communities nationwide were impacted by dream events.
