MAXQDA 2018.1 – a comprehensive and free update with new features

BERLIN - Aug. 30, 2018 - PRLog -- In December of last year, the company launched MAXQDA 2018, a new and extensively enhanced version of its qualitative and mixed methods data analysis software, with over 60 new features and functions. MAXQDA 2018.1 provides users with several further new features and a multitude of improvements to existing MAXQDA 2018 functions at no charge.

MAXQDA 2018.1 Innovations and Improvements:

YouTube Import

With the direct connection to YouTube, it is now possible to import a video's comments or the complete transcript with the video subtitles into MAXQDA.

Word Cloud 2.0 & Code Cloud

Create modern visualizations of your data with the new Word Cloud templates available in MAXQDA 2018.1. New display options extend the use of the Word Cloud for analysis and hypothesis generation. The most frequently assigned codes can also now be visualized with a word cloud of code names in the new Code Cloud feature to provide researchers with an overview of the distribution of their analysis categories.

Recode retrieved results directly from the "Retrieved Segments" window

Retrieved segments can now be recoded or assigned additional codes without having to open the source file in "Document Browser", saving researchers a step and coding time.

Export coded audio & video segments as clips

Selected audio and video segments can now be saved and exported as individual clips. This new export option simplifies the integration of the researcher's multimedia analysis results into presentations and publications.
