Republic of Guinea Bissau re-appoints Rajeshwar Prasad as Ex-Officio Cabinet Minister

Rajeshwar Prasad has been appointed as Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Guinea Bissau. The Prime Minister Aristide Gomes officially announces the same.

BISSAU, Guinea-Bissau - Aug. 17, 2018 - PRLog -- In a move designed to establish contacts abroad, seek international partnerships, and promote the image of Guinea Bissau in the world, Aristide Gomes, Prime Minister of the West African country, has re-appointed global investor and entrepreneur Rajeshwar Prasad as Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Guinea Bissau, a rank equivalent to Cabinet Minister.

Prasad has previously acted in the same capacity, and is also an investor focused on companies in the Middle East and India. He is the CEO of RAK Sovereign Holding and also heads an early stage venture capital firm for startups and SMEs.

Gomes, who was appointed the Prime Minister for the second time in April this year, is tasked with leading the country to more foreign partnerships, investments and assistance. This appointment is a step towards the same. Republic of Guinea-Bissau was one among the first 19 countries to be a part of the International Solar Alliance along with India, based on proposal by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
