r2c Online haul huge compliance results and time savings for B I Halder
The East Yorkshire based company adopted the r2c platform in December 2017 to manage their fleet and in-house workshop, plus their external repair network. Seven months on, Director Louise Halder discusses the benefits they have found as part of the online network, "r2c has helped us big style: now all of our defects are reported in real-time, so we can plan our maintenance more effectively and optimise vehicle uptime. Plus, there's no paperwork piles anymore which is bliss."
As the family-run business nears its 50th anniversary, Louise decided that it was the right time for B I Halder to go digital in order to respond to their customers' needs. She explained, "We wanted to improve our defect management processes, and joining r2c allowed us better visibility from source at the driver check through to completion in the workshop. It's removed a lot of time-consuming admin for us, helping keep our vehicles on the road for longer, and, in turn, helping us provide an ever better service to our loyal customers."
B I Halder have also experienced benefits in their workshop. Louise said, "In the workshop, we've found jobs are no longer missed or duplicated as the job updates are always in front of the technicians. All work carried out by Scania can also be checked and followed up in real-time on the system, so we're always on the same page with our external repairers too."
At a time when DVSA are encouraging operators to go digital, Louise now has complete confidence in their compliance. She continued, "We've already seen savings of around 30 hours per month - but the biggest benefit by far is the peace of mind r2c provides. If DVSA walked in today, we know everything is compliant and documented with a full digital audit trail on the platform."
Louise concluded, "We've already recommended r2c to our external supply chain and other fleets as we feel the industry needs to be doing this. It's a natural progression and helps bring fleets into the 21st century."
