NORCROSS, Ga. - June 27, 2018 - PRLog -- CAN Bus Sensors from STW, a premier provider for mobile automation, digitalization and electrification solutions, provide an effective solution for the last mile of your Internet of Things (IoT) initiative. STW will be exhibiting at Sensors Expo 2018 (Booth 320) to showcase innovative pressure sensors, inclinometers and other measurement solutions.

Looking to take your IoT initiatives to completion? While there is much talk about the potential of the Internet of Things and the associated data and software to take us there, the last mile of connecting the 'things' to the associated software in an effective and cost efficient manner that meets real world demands of ruggedness is often a challenge.

STW's award winning CAN bus pressure and temperature sensors are built to withstand extremely rugged, off highway conditions and can be used as IoT devices even when there is no controller in the loop.

The OEM pressure transmitter, MO1-CAN with E1-approval and CAN-bus connectivity has been especially designed for applications in mobile machines. The EMC characteristics as well as the shock and vibration resistance are selected especially for this area of applications. This facilitates applications in challenging ambient conditions, such as in the field of mobile hydraulics.

The M01-CAN is available in two different Versions. For pressure ranges of 0 … 0.25 bar there is a silicon sensing element, and for pressure ranges of 0 … 1,000 bar (up to 2,000 bar for common-rail applications) a welded thin film pressure cell is used. Depending on the sensing element, the max. permitted media temperature is 150 ºC / 302 °F and the ambient temperature is max. 125 ºC / 257 °F. An optional damping unit can be integrated into the media access.

More information on M01-CAN is available at:

Similarly, the pressure transmitter T01 has an E1-approval and is manufactured at an ISO/TS 16949-certified company using the latest manufacturing methods. The excellent price/performance ratio makes this pressure transmitter especially interesting for series production. OEM versions can also be supplied.

The T01 is the only configurable CAN j1939 temperature sensor for the mobile off highway market. With the new configurator tool, customers will be able to easily configure sensor parameters such as source address, transmission rate and data scaling.

The standard T01 can be used for the media temperature range of -40 °C to +150 °C. The maximum permitted media temperature is +150 °C, and the maximum storage and operating temperature is +125 °C. The parts coming into contact with media are made of stainless steel (1.4571) and guarantee, in combination with the welded temperature element, maximum media compatibility. The T01 with stainless steel housing can be ordered either with a plastic or a stainless steel connector.

More information on T01 is available at:

The CAN bus sensors from STW can be used as IoT devices without a controller in the loop, sending information to a telematics device directly so that it can be relayed to the cloud.

Sensors Expo 2018 is being held in San Jose, California this year from June to 26-28.  STW ( will be in booth 320.
