DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - March 2, 2018 - PRLog -- Halifax OB/Gyn is pleased to announce it has returned to its original independent corporate status, having recently transitioned from being a part of a large corporation comprised of hundreds of obstetrics/gynecology practices.

The Daytona Beach-based practice has been operating under the larger corporation for the last seven years, however the original corporate status is effective again this month. Patients may be notified from the larger corporation that Halifax OB/Gyn is no longer contracted with its insurance plans, however Halifax OB/Gyn has been working diligently to negotiate new contracts with the majority of its insurance plans under its original corporation.

"We have enjoyed providing our patients exceptional care for nearly 30 years and look forward to providing the same quality care for the next 30 years," said Pamela Carbiener, M.D. "We've been asking our patients for their patience during the transition, and we are confident our communication and care will be even better as we return to a 'mom and pop' style business that we were for the first 20 years in business."

During the transition, taking place over the next several weeks, there are extra Halifax OB/Gyn staff members operating phones to answer any questions or concerns patients may have.

About Halifax OBGYN Associates

Halifax OB/Gyn Associates is a full-service obstetrics and gynecology (OB/Gyn) practice. They have led the way with new minimally invasive surgery techniques, including the ability to perform major gynecologic surgeries through tiny incisions with minimal recovery. Currently, the majority of surgeries performed by Halifax OB/Gyn, such as those to remove endometriosis, ovarian disease, fibroids or complete hysterectomies, are performed with minimally invasive techniques. Recovery is either a same day discharge, or an overnight hospital stay. Dr. Baldwin and Dr. Cortez use the daVinci Robotic System when indicated, reducing the use of large incisions in favor of a more minimally invasive surgical approach.

Halifax OB/Gyn has been serving Volusia and Flagler counties since 1988. Its current practitioners are Dr. Pamela Carbiener, Dr. Stephen Cortez, Dr. Cynthia Baldwin, Dr. Marjorie Bhogal, Dr. Patricia Esquivel and Dr. Zachary Tyser. They offer care for teenagers, women in their reproductive years, and women that are pre and post-menopausal. They also have infertility services, contraception planning, and 4D Sonograms. They currently have a staff of 24 and accept most insurance plans. They are located at 1890 LPGA Blvd., Suite 160, Daytona Beach, FL 32117. You can reach them by phone at 386-252-4701 or online http://halifaxobgyn.com and https://www.facebook.com/HalifaxOBGYN/.
