This event is made possible by the International Nihon Jujutsu Association.
As an accomplished judoka, Satoh Sensei brings a unique and inspiring perspective to the links between Kodokan judo and aikido. Just a few of his qualifications are: • Shihan, Kisuikan Dojo, Tokyo Japan • Shihan, Waseda University Aikido Club, Tokyo Japan • Faculty, Waseda University, Department of the Humanities • Founder, Renaissance Judo • Personal Student of Tomiki Kenji Sensei • Internationally Acclaimed Instructor and Scholar International Nihon Jujutsu Association: INJA is a community dedicated to the teachings and philosophy of our Founder, Satoh Shizuya Sensei (1929 – 2011), and the practice of Nihon Jujutsu – a modern Japanese martial art that focuses on developing healthy, responsible individuals of all ages. Its principles and techniques derive from Japanese unarmed combat and self-defense methods from pre-1945 judo, aikibujutsu and taihojutsu (Japanese police immobilization and arresting methods).
