S.T.E.A.M. Robotics Carnival—Honoring Tiffany Haddish

LOS ANGELES - Feb. 28, 2018 - PRLog -- PRESS RELEASE: S.T.E.A.M. Robotics Carnival for At-Risk Youth Honors Comedian & Actress Tiffany Haddish

200 at-risk youths will attend a luncheon on March 22, 2018 at the USC Galen Center to meet and honor comedian & actress Tiffany Haddish and author & CEO of FraserNet, Dr. George Fraser. Fraser and Haddish, former foster youth, take pride in giving hope to these youth who lack exposure to the vast range of creative possibilities accessible through Science Technology Engineering Agriculture Arts & Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M).

"Intro To Robo" provides an introduction to robotics that engages at-risk youth through a fun-filled day of confidence-building, innovative skills, and career building. Along with their parents, these children will be exposed to new ideas and people who will encourage and ignite a passion for success, hard work and leadership. We have had over 100,00 engagements through social media and newsletter blasts. Over 500 registered guests will attend the event.

"Intro to Robo" https://www.livingadvantageinc.org/intro-to-robo is partially sponsored by SoCal Edison and the USC Civic Engagement Program. It is the brainchild of Executive Director, Pamela R. Clay, who has a heart for those in the foster care system. Clay's desire to give back has led her to impact the lives thousands of foster youth for over 20 years. It is her mission to engage at-risk children in Los Angeles' underserved communities and empower them to reach beyond their present circumstances.


The Carnival begins at 10 a.m., where the kids will participate in a variety of educational activities and learn the value of S.T.E.A.M. though an exciting and colorful approach. During the luncheon, which begins at 12pm, the children will present Haddish and Dr. Fraser with their distinguished awards.

The location of the event is 3400 S. Figueroa St. LA, CA 90089, the USC Galen Center.

The Reception for Sponsors & Donors and Step & Repeat begins at 5:30pm, where honorees Tiffany Haddish and Dr. George Fraser will address supporters of "Intro to Robo" and Living Advantage, Inc., as well as invited celebrities who are adoptive  and foster parents.
