Comprehensive study of Project Managers for 2018

NEW YORK - Feb. 21, 2018 - PRLog -- As part of our quest to understand the need of our customers, Binfire Corp surveyed 1080 project managers in 2018. We did also mind information from LinkedIn, PMI, and Glassdoor extensively to collect data about project managers.

Our findings are quite startling. For one, there is no wage inequality between male and female project managers.

Below we have summarised what we have learned.

1-Agile is gaining momentum and is used in more projects than waterfall or other project management methods.

2-The number of female project managers is increasing. From 2016 to 2018 the number of female project managers increased by 1% to a total of 31% of project managers are female in 2018.

3-The average age of a typical project manager is 43 years old.

4- The USA has the highest number of project managers followed by the UK. For this study, we could not find reliable information on Chinese data.

5-The average salary for project managers in the USA is $82,700.

6-Among project managers 67% of male and 59% of female project managers are happy with what they do.

7-The construction industry employees the highest number of project managers followed by manufacturing.

8-Around 40% of all projects are done in Agile project management method.

9-The most widely used Agile method is Scrum by far.

10-Project managers with technical degrees are the highest population among project managers with 31% of the total.
