Next XcellR8 Meeting to be held February 8th at Nerac

TOLLAND, Conn. - Feb. 6, 2018 - PRLog -- Nerac is pleased to announce that its next XcellR8 meeting will be held on Thursday, February 8, from 8:00 a.m. at Nerac headquarters.

XcellR8 is a powerful advisory program designed tofoster innovation in business and support entrepreneurs throughout Connecticut, particularly those originating out of UConn. Leveraging Nerac's strong and far-reaching network of innovators and entrepreneurs, XcellR8 meetings assemble a comprehensive array of expert professionals who serve to advise and mentor entrepreneurs in all of the various facets of business and product development. The meetings are energetic, interactive gatherings wherein entrepreneurs present their ideas and concepts and gather feedback and guidance from experts in attendance.

Beyond the meetings, XcellR8 aids technology-based and other startups in developing and executing effective, big picture strategic plans by connecting them to relevant, up-to-the-minute resources, including CTNext – Connecticut's go-to resource for entrepreneurial support. CTNext is partnered with Nerac in support of its XcellR8 and Incubator programs. As a member of the CTNext Partner Program, Nerac plays an important role in CT's innovation ecosystem by introducing entrepreneurs selected for its XcellR8 program to resources and support systems that can help them carry out plans with success post meeting. Quantum Biopower (QBP) provides sustainable solutions to manage organic waste streams using advanced technologies to make products that add value; a value that benefits us all.  By harnessing the power for Anaerobic Digestion technology, the creation of sustainable energy is possible.  QBP's renewable energy process is simple and relies on nature to do the work by recycling various forms of organic waste.

The QBP Food Waste Digester effectively creates value from food waste.  One byproduct of digester operations is a separate QBP product called Wonder Soil — an organic soil amendment created from recycled food waste.  Currently, QBP is producing 10,000 dry tons of Wonder Soil per year, with the expectation to increase production to over 100,000 tons a year as demand for services to take unwanted food waste from schools, businesses and hospitals continues to grow.

The company is currently at a prototype stage, and is asking the XcellR8 group for validation of its business and go to market strategy, blind spots and vulnerabilities, and the common question – how to raise money for this type of effort.
