KNX and zigbee are now connected

The challenge was to take KNX system protocol and apply it to a progressively wireless environments. Recognizing the cost savings and expansion benefits of wireless for many facilities, Lynxus Technologies worked with KNX to provide an addendum to the KNX standard. A criterion that would bridge KNX with zigbee wireless networks.

   ZigBee, an open source standard, is designed to be interoperable between wireless devices with applications in commercial, residential, and industrial markets. KNX is an international open standard for building automation system, which can achieve highly integrated intelligent control. Lynxus Technologies devices includes AC/AC and AC/DC end-nodes, zigbee embedded LED drivers and area controllers with application driven software. All perfectly adapted to the KNX system. They include lighting control, energy management and remote access to building automation.

  Lynxus Technologies developed a low-cost, low-power, wireless controller/sensor network that allows KNX to expand beyond the traditional wired range. With zigbee, you have a global communications protocol and standard for a digital radio frequency technology which is easily adapted.
