LEAWOOD, Kan. - Oct. 19, 2017 - PRLog -- Any job seeker who is looking for a new opportunity realizes that the rules have changed.  An applicant can send over 100 resumes using the employers own career portals and never hear a word back in reply.  This can be insulting and demoralizing but there is a better way to conduct a campaign.  Using some work and research, someone can find the specific person they will be working for in the new position.

A well prepared letter (Pain Letter) can be sent directly to the decision maker's desk (8.5 x 11 inch in an envelope).  The three parts of the pain letter are the "hook" – something complimentary about the company.  Next is the  "pain hypothesis" – identifying a need the company currently has, and finally the "close" – a story about a time the job seeker solved a similar kind of pain before.

The letter should be short and followed up with an email and phone call – an aggressive campaign  can include three to four letters every day.
