A new business: Books Made 4 Me, emerges out of loss, with hope and promise

STROUDSBURG, Pa. - Oct. 5, 2017 - PRLog -- January 24, 2016 will remain forever ingrained in Kelly Hunter's memory. Recently married to the love of her life and the purchase of a new home, she suddenly lost her husband, Maurice Hollis. Maurice always supported Kelly in all her endeavors and they were excited and happy to start the next phase of their lives together. While making plans to adjust to married life, their youngest son heading to college and Maurice planning retirement, tragedy struck. It was prior to this event that Kelly had expressed an interest in starting a personalized book company, as it would enable her to work and still be at home to support her children. After her husband's passing, along with the support of her children, Books Made 4 Me was launched.

Books Made 4 Me is a personalized book company with over 30 titles for children to read, and families to collect. Books Made 4 Me features titles such as The Baby Book, My Birthday Surprise, No More Diapers, The Train with No Name, Little One, Little One, The Ballerina Princess, Homer and Me and My Book of Prayers, just to name a few. When asked what makes "Books Made 4 Me" unique, Kelly Hunter replies "Books Made 4 Me is unique for a few reasons. First, all of our titles are personalized specifically for each child. We include the child's name, the names of their friends and hometown. Other titles, like our birthday titles, include the child's age and birthday. Our Baby Book is a personalized memento of the child's birth that includes details surrounding the event of the birth. In addition, the purchaser always has an option to personalize a dedication to the child in the book. We also have the ability to personalize, print and bind books ON-SITE, while you wait! This is how we're able to host our Look, I Made a Book events where we take children through the complete process of creating their very own personalized book.". When asked who Books Made 4 Me is excited to work with Kelly goes on to say "nursery schools, elementary schools, girl scouts, cub/boy scouts, parent/teacher organizations, booster clubs, public and school libraries and gift shops, to name a few".

Books Made 4 Me is also supportive of not for profits such at Pocono Alliance and their summer charity event, Shawnee Riverfest. "I believe that events like Shawnee Riverfest serve to not only support the organization themselves, but they give new businesses, like Books Made 4 Me, wonderful exposure."
