Biola Adeagbo-Olawore Presented With Prestigious Mike Neden STEM Champion

International STEM Education Association Honored African STEM and Video Game Research for Promoting STEM in Africa Through Pan African STEM Video Game Challenge at ISEA-STEM Expo at Branson, Missouri, USA

BRANSON, Mo. - Oct. 9, 2017 - PRLog -- Mr. Biola Demola Adeagbo-Olawore of the Africa STEM and Video Game Research Company in Abuja, Nigeria was awarded the Mike Neden STEM Champion Award during the STEM Expo in Branson, Mo. on October 10, 2017. Adeagbo-Olawore was one of three recipients of this award during the October 10th Awards Session at the International STEM Education Association's STEM Expo in Branson, Missouri.

The Mike Neden STEM Champion Awards program honors public and private elementary, middle, high school teachers and teacher educators that have served as a champion for integrated STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education in their school and/or community.

The Mike Neden STEM Champion Awards serves as a standard of excellence for individuals who promote integrated science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education.

Each year, the International STEM Education Association seeks out individuals who have implemented STEM programs, provided professional development, encouraged others, and have been instrumental in supporting integrated STEM education.

To be named a Mike Neden STEM Champion Award recipient is to join an elite group of educational innovators. All recipients of this award share one very important quality. They have all taken direct action to be a true champion for STEM education that impacts all students in the classroom. The Mike Neden STEM Champion Awards are presented annually at the ISEA STEM Expo.

Adeagbo-Olawore is a true STEM Champion and has enthusiastically promoted K-12 STEM education through the establishment of strong collaborations with local schools and educational institutions as well as through partnerships with other museums and non-profit organizations focused on science and mathematics.

He has also worked tirelessly to develop STEM video games that encourage young people to enter and remain engaged in STEM education. By engaging African K-12 school students in the subject areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics(STEM) through the process of designing and building an original video game.

Adeagbo-Olawore has challenged students through Pan African STEM Video Game Challenge to use STEM-related skills in a creative environment, engaging and empowering them to learn by constructing something interactive, stimulating and meaningful using creativity and innovation.

The Mike Neden STEM Champion Awards serve as a standard of excellence for individuals who promote integrated science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education.
