R&B Ballad Explores The Thin Line Between Hope, Dreams & Reality

YORK, U.K. - Sept. 28, 2017 - PRLog -- Releasing today, It's in the Mind, the lead song in his first self produced LP Endymion Dreams, is a soulful ballad born from his personal struggles, and dealing with the death of his grandmother last year, with whom he was very close.

A few weeks before writing this song Chase started suffering from constant nightmares. "Terrifying, horrific nightmares that made me feel uneasy even during the day". This song does not only speak of these things, it is them, "on paper" and you can hear the struggle, between the classicism of the piano, the strings, and the beat.

Chase says "the most important message that I wanted to communicate is that doubt, fear and guilt, does not have to control us, it does not have to rule our lives and shape our perception of things. Pain is one of life's many colours and not everything is a shade of it. There will always be hope for those who want to find it?

"I lost my grandmother last year. She was one of my dearest and closest friends. Losing her was like losing a part of myself. It made me realise the fragility and impermanence of life, I had never lost anyone before and for some ignorant reason I thought she would always be around somehow. I had never felt so fragile. For the first time I contemplated myself, my habits and the things that I personally struggle with. I realized that there is a thin line between hopes, dreams and reality.

It's In The Mind speaks of this line. It divides us from ourselves. In a way we are our own worst enemy after all. The metaphors of the devil represents, the doubt, the fear and even sometimes the guilt. A few weeks before writing this song I started suffering from constant nightmares.
