Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act (LCSA) was passed into law to amend and overhaul the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). The amendments have authorized the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to reevaluate its existing chemical substances inventory on a specific timeframe through the proposed Inventory Rule. The Inventory Rule requires manufacturers and importers to report and submit electronically to the EPA the chemicals manufactured and processed in the past 10 years.
