By: SignalCore, Inc. Please click below link for viewing the SC5511A technical library, as follows: http://www.signalcore.com/ The SC5511A has an additional, independent RF2 channel with a tunable frequency range from 100 MHz to 3 GHz and a tuning resolution of 25 MHz. This extra channel makes the module suitable for either single-stage RF conversion systems or dual-stage image suppression up/down converter systems. It makes a great general purpose laboratory signal source where demanding low phase noise and signal purity are needed. It is also an ideal choice as an integrated clock source for fast DAC and ADC applications, especially those that require variable sampling rates. The SC5510A is the PXIe version of high-performance VCO-based synthesized signal source with a tunable output frequency range of 100 MHz to 20 GHz. Although it consumes only 16 W of power, it packs the instrument grade performance of large box instruments. A low phase noise output of -118 dBc/Hz at 10kHz offset from a 10 GHz carrier, a 1 Hz tuning resolution, and an amplitude step resolution of 0.01 dB over a -30 dBm to +10 dBm output range sets the SC5510A apart from other PXI modular synthesizers. Furthermore, through the use of a unique multiple phase-locked loop architecture, phase spurs are kept below -70 dBc across the entire tuning range, even at 1 Hz step resolution. SignalCore designs and manufactures high performance, innovative, and cost effective electronic radio frequency (RF) and microwave instrumentation subsystems. We serve customers worldwide in research and development labs, universities, and both the private and public sector industries of wireless telecommunications, broadcast monitoring, aerospace, defense, and electronics manufacturing. Our fundamental philosophy is to produce products that are highly linear and low in noise. Our strong engineering knowledge of low noise design, particularly low phase noise design, ensures that products we produce have noise levels that are among the lowest, if not the lowest, in the industry.
