LOS ANGELES - Feb. 23, 2017 - PRLog -- Multi-award winning CPG Music singer/songwriter Whitton has launched the IndieGoGo campaign "Heal Your Heart" with the Musicians for the Cannabis Movement Campaign to raise awareness for medical cannabis and fundraise Veterans with PTSD.

Musicians for the Cannabis Movement is comprised of Whitton and members of the musical group Jelly Bread. Heal Your Heart strives to break the stigma of cannabis and help create a healing space for Veterans who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Monies raised will provide funds for the production of an informative and impactful music-based video focusing on the healing properties of cannabis for veterans. Additional funds will be directed to Veterans Resource Centers of America (VRC), a 501c3 Non-Profit. VRC offers a wide range of programs to address the unique needs of veterans including homeless prevention, re-housing and traditional housing, employment and training programs, behavioral health treatment and nutrition services. VRC has 14 branches throughout California, Arizona, and Nevada housing homeless veterans and providing support in their journey to health, stability, and independence.

Heal Your Heart will film at Tom Gordon's legendary Imirage Sound lab in Reno, Nevada. Under the insightful eye of leading prime-time television director TJ Scott ( Go tham, Antoine Fuqua's Ice) and internationally renowned celebrity photographer Dennys Ilic, the video features doctors and patients dancing to Whitton and Jelly Bread performing. "We understand the impact a song and video can make. Michael Jackson's message of peace and love in Heal the World changed lives. Heal Your Heart will bring the message of hope and future, through the beauty of Whitton's words and vocal prowess."

"Over the past months, I have been working with my family creating our health-conscious restaurant PRANK in Downtown Los Angeles. Day after day we meet veterans who share their stories and the ongoing war they fight internally. The use of cannabis/CBD has proven to be successful in keeping their demons at bay. Through the shared experiences, I have come to realize how important it is for veterans to be taught the benefits and have access to cannabis/CBD. These men and women who have given of themselves to create a safe America, now need the rest of us to return the commitment so that they may feel stronger, independent and safe - in their own skin and their own country."

Jelly Bread added, "we had the honor of meeting Shane Whitecloud, a veteran who works for the Veteran's Resource Centers of America. He introduced us to the invaluable work the VRC does and how much support is really needed. Hopefully, Heal Your Heart will contribute significantly."

To date the "Heal Your Heart" campaign has been supported by NBS/O.penVape, the newly opened restaurant PRANK in downtown Los Angeles, Fountain of Youth (FOY), Imirage Sound Labs and VRC.

Donations to the Heal Your Heart IndieGoGo campaign are eligible for incentives including a download of the song, an opportunity to participate in the music video and even to have a personalized song written.
