Teens Delve into Mysteries of the Universe in KidSpirit's Winter Issue

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Dec. 7, 2016 - PRLog -- KidSpirit (http://kidspiritonline.com), the award-winning online magazine by and for youth to explore life's big questions, launches its winter issue on Mysteries of the Universe today. This quarter, KidSpirit's network of 11- to 17-year-old editors around the world have chosen to take on unanswered, and unanswerable, queries about the cosmos, our world, and ourselves.

Each issue of KidSpirit revolves around a Big Question posed by the Editorial Board. This winter, the editors ask, "Why do we seek to learn more about our universe?" Find out how one teen focuses on curiosity, both her own and that of our human ancestors, to discover her answer.

Other articles published today include a fascinating Feature piece on the possibility of life beyond earth; a contributor's delightful account of the unexpected revelations of camping in the wilderness; a review of Frankenstein's Cat: Cuddling Up to Biotech's Brave New Beasts, a book on the controversies surrounding biotechnology; and a look at how diverse religious traditions interpret life's greatest mysteries. In the poetry section, a young poet pens an ode to the mysterious dreams of nighttime.

In the new "Explore" section of KidSpirit's website, the Mysteries of the Universe issue also features beautiful teen artwork and short essays that offer glimpses into communities across the globe.

Over the course of the winter, KidSpirit will continue to publish more writing, poetry, and artwork on this quarter's vast theme. One article will take readers to deep space through an interview with an astrophotographer;  another will revel in the joy of questioning; and a third will examine the symbolism and science behind the idea of parallel realities. In the magazine's PerSpectives section, an adult with expertise on the theme will offer final words of wisdom to readers young and young at heart.

KidSpirit (http://kidspiritonline.com) is a unique forum for young people to explore life's big questions in an open spirit. This issue highlights the value of youth voices around the world. For interviews and further information, please contact Jessie Post at the information below.
