FORT WORTH, Texas - Nov. 20, 2016 - PRLog -- The Will to Succeedis a message from us, the husbands and fathers', to the mother's of the world: "We, the men of our society are sorry it took us so long to publicly embrace and acknowledge your sacrifices and your undaunting and unwavering love."

"However, we are slowly beginning to grasp the awesomeness of all that you do.  We see the innumerable hearts and lives that you touch each and every day, and  we  salute  your unrelenting, untiring and inspired will to succeed."

The Will to Succeed gives readers a peek into the endless challenges, responsibilities and the endless ups and  downs that make up a mother's life.

Through the eyes and heartbeats of nine mothers, you will find yourself smack in the middle of their unique perspectives of life, and the oddities and uncertainties inherent with raising a family.

Although a compendium of ideas, thoughts, career fields and family structure are represented, one common thread connects them all – commitment.

In chapter 1, you meet Rita, a teacher and single parent. In chapter 2, we introduce Wilma, the wife of an Air Force combat pilot. Chapter 3 introduces Bethany, a retired great grandmother now searching for her "path" in life. Chapter 4 welcomes one of my favorite mother's, my great-grandmother. In chapter 5, Rachel, a single, expectant mother comes on the scene.

In chapter 6, we meet Kim, a group fitness instructor with two boys. In chapter 7, you meet the mother who began it all for me, my Mama. Chapter 8 introduces Marie and her family. Her youngest son, Matthew is battling Cystic Fibrosis. Chapter 9 introduces Jane Norton, a Rear Admiral in the US Navy. In chapter 10, you meet Vicky, a single mother incarcerated in the Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women, and in chapter 11, we conclude with Ethel, a manager at Auto Zone. Ethel is also a victim of domestic violence.

I'll never forget the simple, yet profound advice that my mother gave me before Cecilia and I married in 1979, "Do you love her? You are the only one who knows this for sure. If she is the "one," then you will have many years of love together. If she is not, then you will have to live with the choice that you made."

The book is available worldwide, including Kindle Store, Amazon, Lulu Enterprises Inc. and Createspace (an Amazon company) in paperback and hardcover.
