SEM Link Raises Funds and Awareness during Georgia Gives Day 2016

ATLANTA - Nov. 10, 2016 - PRLog -- ATLANTA – November 10, 2016 – Science, Engineering and Mathematics Link Inc. (SEM Link), is a participating charity in the Georgia Center for Nonprofits (GCN) "Georgia Gives Day" on Thursday, November 17th. Georgia Gives Day (#GAGivesDay), is the statewide day of giving whose purpose is to bring the state together as one community, to raise as much money and awareness as possible for Georgia nonprofits within a 24-hour, flash mob of giving. One hundred percent of proceeds will go directly to participating nonprofits through www.GaGivesday.org. Although the goal is for individuals to donate on November 17, the website is available for donations year round. During the Georgia Gives Day Campaign, SEM Link is also asking individuals that have attended our programs to tag us on Twitter or Instagram with a your photos stating the name of the event, what you were doing at the event using the hashtag #GAGivesDay . SEM Link is a Georgia based nonprofit that exposes youth to STEM and STEM careers engaging youth in hands on STEM activities conducted by members of the STEM community in their classrooms and communities. "Georgia Gives Day is a special day for us because participating in a statewide day of giving allows us to connect with an audience that as a small nonprofit, we wouldn't otherwise be able to connect with" states Ms. Tokiwa T. Smith, SEM Link Founder and Executive Director. "This day allows us to raise funds and awareness for our programs that help inspire Georgia youth to pursue STEM careers and ensures that the pipeline for the future STEM workforce includes Georgia youth."
