PRLog -- Science, Engineering and Mathematics Link Inc. (SEM Link) through its Community STEM program is celebrating the total solar eclipse by hosting in-person and virtual events to introduce youth to astronomy and astrophysics. "The upcoming solar eclipse is a perfect opportunity to engage youth in activities to learn more about astronomy and astrophysics. Youth do not have to wait until an astronomical event to learn about and explore the cosmos," states Ms. Tokiwa T. Smith, SEM Link Founder and Executive Director.
These events to introduce youth to astronomy and astrophysics will take place in March and April before the solar ecplise.
- STEM at the Library: Astronomical Events on Saturday, March 2, 11:00 am-1:00 pm at Gladys S. Dennard Library at South Fulton
- Virtual Teen Science Café with Dr. Ron Gamble Jr., Theoretical Astrophysicist, on Wednesday March 27, from 6:30-7:30 pm EST.
- STEM Literacy Event with Brave and Kind Bookstore on Saturday, April 6 from 11:00am-1:00 pm
