RUSTON, La. - Oct. 26, 2016 - PRLog -- Durrett Law and Title is pleased to welcome its newest associate attorney, Danielle Smith.

Smith, a Mississippi College School of Law graduate, will focus on real estate transactions, real estate finance, banking and business transactions.

She is excited to assist lenders and borrowers in all aspects of commercial loans, buyers and sellers in acquisitions, and landlords and tenants in commercial leases, as well as homeowner's associations.

Smith will be helping lenders perform due diligence, like reviewing and analyzing collateral and titles, drafting, negotiating and interpreting loan documents.

Before she joined Durrett Law & Title, Smith served as in-house counsel for a local financial institution. She has experience in banking, bankruptcy and creditors' rights and remedies.

Smith joined the Louisiana Bar Association in 2014. She's also a member of the American Bar Association, the Lincoln Parish Bar Association and the Louisiana Bankers Association.

Other areas of interest for Smith include construction law and alternative dispute resolution.

Smith attends Trinity United Methodist Church.
