Author Claudette Milner Appears at Author Talk at Main Library on 10-11-16 at 6:00 PM

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Oct. 8, 2016 - PRLog -- Author, Talk Show Host and Motivational Speaker Claudette Milner will conduct an Author Talk at the Louisville Public Library on October 11, 2016 from 6:00-7:00PM. The Library is located at 301 York St. in Louisville KY. She is the author of the "Children of Plains Estates series and The Rejuvenation of the Church: Guide and Workbook. She will be discussing all her published works and books will be on sale after the discussion.

Ms. Milner released the latest book in the series in Juy 2016. The book is poignant and timely.

I asked Ms. Milner about making Immigration the central topic.

Her reply. I have never stepped away from a storyline. I feel like a ghostwriter for the Holy Spirit. We have watched the storyline of Jesus Ramirez from "Unheard Voices" when he first applied to Sheltons Restaurant and was confronted with racism. Jesus is an American citizen. His mother was born in America. His father is illegal and has a family in Mexico. We have watched his character evolve throughout the books.His conflict is his relationship with his father. Although he loves his father he feels that he represents what others feel about Mexicans. When Americans see him they see his father although his mother works and goes to school. The storyline has two lines of conflict. First his father is back with a marriage proposal. Is he sincere or is this his ony path to citizenship.

This book is well written and is an easy read. It deals with real life issues that children & adults face. I have read ALL the books, and can't wait until the next one is written. Hopefully within the next 6 months. Her books come to life, with each family growing and developing. One situation in particular involves someone dying. That same incident happened in my life when I was 9 years old and no one knew how to deal with it, but Ms. Milner's books do help you work through it.


What about the cliffhanger in "Silent Tears".
There have been many struggles with the families of Plains Estates but nothing like death. Faith has carried these families but now their faith must be their rock.
