By: BEKO USA "During 25 years operating in the United States, BEKO has been located in four cities, and with the growth that we have achieved since coming to Atlanta nearly a decade ago, we are here to stay," said Tilo Fruth, President, BEKO Technologies Corp. "We are thrilled to celebrate a quarter of a century providing ancillary equipment to the compressed air industry." BEKO's American story began in Tulsa, Okla. in 1990 with a vision to become a truly international company. Following its expansion within the European market, company leaders determined it was a must to also have a presence in the American market. The US subsidiary was the second opened abroad after the United Kingdom and shortly followed by the opening of BEKO France in 1992. A move of the U.S. headquarters to Dublin, Ohio brought BEKO close to industrial centers, but growth faltered until a new strategy was put in place concurrent with the Atlanta relocation at the hands of Fruth who took the helm in 2007. "Moving to Atlanta was not a difficult decision," Fruth stated. "The city was already mature and offered great transportation, support structures and people." Since relocating its American headquarters to Atlanta in 2008, the German-based company has increased sales sevenfold and grown staff from a five-person team to more than 50 employees. The company designs and manufactures machines to purify or clean compressed air, which is the second largest energy source used in industry. Counting among its North and South American clients brands like Coca-Cola and Mercedes as well as small businesses, BEKO USA plans to double its business within the next five to eight years. "That is a lot tougher than it sounds because now we have market saturation," BEKO USA: BEKO Technologies, Corp. is the U.S. subsidiary of BEKO Technologies GmbH, which was established in 1982 and is headquartered in Neuss, Germany. BEKO Technologies has been manufacturing and selling industrial technology products throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and South America since 1991. The American headquarters is located in Atlanta, GA and aside from the German parent company, it is by far the largest subsidiary and manufacturing location within the group, as well as the fastest growing one. http://www.beko- End
