A Robin Hood Approach to the Modern-Day Loyalty Rewards Website

New entertainment discovery, and rewards platform for games, and movie buyers.

MIAMI - Sept. 21, 2016 - PRLog -- Developer and entrepreneur Gregory B. Willis, Jr. announces the official launch of the website, www.TasteBuff.com. Built from the ground-up by Mr. Willis, Taste Buff is a video-centric, curated entertainment search platform for movies and games with a Robin Hood twist on the loyalty-rewards formula.

"We all consume entertainment in a variety of different ways but sometimes, the risk of content failing to meet our expectations just doesn't seem worth the initial cost," says Mr. Willis. "It's become a growing problem in industries involving games and movies needing to combat skeptical consumer behavior. We hope to solve that at Taste Buff with the way we cater to both consumers and content creators."

Taste Buff's reward service helps companies maximize their profits at the peak of their physical sale cycle and long tail marketing, well beyond the scope of the first three to six months. This is achieved all while rewarding customers with perks that exceed the simple discount or cashback structure they are used too when making entertainment purchases.

"Taste Points" are Taste Buff's reward program version of points, plus cash-back currency. Consumers search for the movie or game of their interest, or content that is recommended to them. They can then purchase the title from a listed vendor and claim points for every purchase they make. Instead of having a set percentage that users get back or a specific conversion metric, the points are stacked, meaning that the more money they spend, the more the points they will accrue in their favor.

Members are able to earn, save, and spend their Taste Points on gift cards media provides such as GameStop, PlayStation Store, Xbox Live, iTunes, and Amazon, among others. The Taste Buff rewards program will also have seasonal and limited time offer rewards on items like prepaid debit cards, annual memberships for Playstation Plus and Xbox Live Gold, and subscriptions to Tokyo Treat.

Another major selling point is Taste Buff's "no pressure" approach to rewards: unlike other reward systems, consumers are neither required nor compelled to spend money on products they do not want in order to accumulate points faster. If a consumer does not plan on buying a movie or game anytime soon, they will not suffer any penalty; all members of Taste Buff will automatically incur a monthly bonus of Taste Points on their account, with Premium members enjoying even more points at the monthly cost of $4.99 a month, well below the value of the points.

"With this type of wrinkle added to the traditional reward system, I hope to see it balance out the economics for all parties, from the movie or game studio, to the person who just doesn't feel shafted after putting their hard-earned money into a product", adds Mr. Willis. "Even if it's an impulse buy you'll regret in the morning, as long as you used Taste Buff, we always say, 'You Got Taste!'".

Currently, Taste Buff is a desktop-only, browser-based application, although there are future plans to release tablet and mobile versions in 2017.
