QRyde Announces Groundbreaking Partnership With Coalition for a Better Acre

LOWELL, Mass. - Sept. 20, 2016 - PRLog -- QRyde is proud to announce its partnership with A Coalition for a Better Acre (CBA) to become CBA's "Transportation Solutions Partner."

CBA, based in Lowell, MA, has developed an innovative workforce program, STEP (Supported Training and Education Program), which is focused on providing residents of Lowell's Acre neighborhood training for high-tech manufacturing and other skilled labor jobs. After graduating from the STEP program, graduates will be offered employment in the Devens, MA area with partner companies. QRyde will ensure that all STEP graduates will have safe, reliable and affordable transportation options from Lowell to Devens – a route not currently served by public transit.

This innovative partnership between CBA and QRyde is a demonstration of QRyde's Transportation Marketplace in action. Through the QRyde Transportation Marketplace (powered by QRyde's proprietary ride-matching and optimization algorithms) rider "demand" is matched with transportation "supply", by finding available seats within the existing network of public and private professional transportation providers already operating in the region. By becoming CBA's "Transportation Solutions Partner" QRyde will help CBA's STEP program graduates find safe, affordable, reliable transportation to employment opportunities outside of Greater Lowell.
