The Tech Academy's First TechCrawl

PORTLAND, Ore. - Sept. 8, 2016 - PRLog -- For the first time, The Tech Academy will be one of  The Technology Association of Oregon's TechCrawl stops on September 8, 2016.

The Tech Academy will be showcasing their classrooms to attendees while serving snacks and refreshments. The academy will be providing particpants space to mingle and network.

The once-a-year event will start at wework at 5pm and run to 11pm. It costs $5 to participate.

Tony Thatch, The Tech Academy's Outreach Director, says "This will give people the chance to see us."

Kendra Iraheta, The Tech Academy's Student Care Director, said "I think it's a great opportunity for people who are just starting out in the industry to meet other people with a lot of experience."

The academy's participation in the event started as a simple introduction to The Technology Association of Oregon (TAO). Then, TAO basically took care of the rest.

The event will be loaded with other pit stops, including Jama Software, Notion, Perka and Puppet.

Participants have a choice between going the product track or agency track. The product track will give people the opportunity to check out tech companies that build and sell their own products, while the agency track gives particpants the chance to see agencies that create and deliver services and products for other companies.

Others, on the other hand, are mapping out more logcal routes, such as a giant circle.
