Nerac to Host the Next XcellR8 Meeting September 8th

TOLLAND, Conn. - Sept. 6, 2016 - PRLog -- Nerac(www.nerac.com) is pleased to announce the next XcellR8 meeting which will be held Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the Nerac headquarters in Tolland, CT. The XcellR8 meetings are high energy, interactive gatherings for entrepreneurs to pitch ideas and concepts and to brainstorm creative solutions to challenges. XcellR8 welcomes Rosse Gates and Gazment Sosoli, Founders of Eleframes (www.eleframes.com).

While in their junior year at UConn, Rosse and Gazment, together with a handful of enthusiastic supporters, set out to create a new way to display photographs in their dorm rooms.  It was a simple but ingenious idea to create free-form, interlocking picture frames that protect photographs - and dorm room walls - from damage.

The team submitted their idea dubbed "Storyline" at UConn's Innovation Quest (iQ) competition and won the judges' special award.  StoryLine's main product is a customizable, interlocking, wall mounted photograph display system designed to fill the gap between affordable and stylish picture displays. The initial product was designed to hold 4 by 6 inch photographs, though the same technology can be used to display any size photo, birthday card, diploma, business card, etc.

They emerged from the intensive six week summer iQ inQbator program with a company and readily marketable product, Eleframes.  They've just recently completed a Summer Fellowship sponsored and facilitated by the CT Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.  Next up is the Wolff New Venture Competition, as well as participation in the Maker Faire NYC event in October.

They come to XcellR8 seeking feedback, guidance and input on how to best implement a marketing strategy that will give them credibility/exposure and drive sales.  This could include better SEO strategies, or alternative channels of distribution.  They have experimented with table top selling at different venues across campus and are looking for suggestions on how to do this more effectively.

They are interested in exploring more traditional retail approaches, but would need to better understand the contractual or business aspects, as well as secure connections to commercial buyers in the retail market.  Manpower is also an issue since they are full-time students.  They are looking for creative ideas on where they can get the best return, and what other options are available to increase manpower in a low-cost manner during the start up and scale up phase.

XcellR8, established as a networking cell in northeastern Connecticut, was one of four cells originally created by members of the Connecticut Technology Council executive board, including Nerac CEO, Kevin Bouley.
