D-EYE Modern Digital Ophthalmoscope Launches Bumper Redesign and Expanded iPhone Compatibility

PASADENA, Calif. - Aug. 23, 2016 - PRLog -- D-EYE, a trailblazer in smartphone-based retinal screening, announced today that it has expanded its compatibility with iPhones to include the SE, 6+ and 6S+, in addition to the 5, 5S, 6, and 6S. Today also marks the release of D-EYE's new innovative bumper design, incorporating a latch feature that will improve ease of use and efficiency.

Invented by Italian Ophthalmologist Dr. Andrea Russo, the D-EYE Retinal Imaging System is quickly becoming the modern digital ophthalmoscope. The breakthrough lens design eliminates corneal glare, a common issue when using a traditional ophthalmoscope. The D-EYE lens attaches to iPhones via a customized "quick release" magnetic bumper.  The bumper aligns the D-EYE lens with the camera and LED light source of the smartphone to capture images and videos of the posterior of the eye.
