The first research that has been led by Prof Carlo Leifert at Newcastle University concludes that there are statistically significant, meaningful differences between organic vegan food and non-organic ones, with a range of antioxidants being "substantially higher" in organic food.

The second study published in "Nature Plants" analyzed everything research currently knows about organic farming versus the conventional kind. The analysis found that organic food is more nutritious than conventional by having more vitamin C, antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids. According to John Reganold, professor of soil science and agroecology at Washington State University and co-author of the this study, organic farming impacts several types of sustainability: productivity, impact on the environment, economic viability and social wellbeing.
